The Venice Boat Show 2021 will take place from 29 May to 6 June 2021, at the same time the Biennale of Architecture will open in the same venue, the Arsenale.
The organisation of the Boat Show will offer three nights free-berth to any yacht from 5 to 70 metres at the Venezia Certosa Marina. You will be able to reach the show in just a few minutes with the Public Water Bus service or with the Marina shuttle.
The Exhibition takes place over 9 days, from Saturday May 29th until Sunday June 6th 2021 with opening hours 10.00 am – 8.00 pm. Visitors will admire more than 220 boats from over 160 exhibitors and also the spectacular structures of the Arsenale, which in the same period will host the Architecture Biennale entitled HOW WILL WE LIVE TOGETHER? and dedicated to the exploration of future scenarios of coexistence.
Together with the Biennale and the reopening of museums and cultural institutions, the Venice Boat Show is an event that, drives the restart of Venice and Italy. The event, which relaunch the importance of boating and the sea economy for the city, is the opportunity to visit the lagoon in the best season of the year.
On Certosa island, boaters will find the 400 renovated berths, an exceptional food and wine offer thanks to the new panoramic Alajmo restaurant, Hostaria in Certosa, and the refreshment and picnic points distributed in the large park, the new residences overlooking the lagoon and all complementary port services: the shipyard providing technical assistance with carpentry and workshop for onboard services and engines, lift/launch and dry-docking equipment, a sailmaker, a shop selling spare parts and accessories (ship chandler).
The harbour is equipped with floating piers for a safe mooring of vessels up to 70m in length and 6m in draught. The marina basin is sheltered from winds coming from all directions, free from waves or high tide. The entrance is accessible in all seasons and weather conditions. Qualified dockmasters provide assistance and surveillance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Venezia Certosa Marina is a marina with a large and valuable natural park. Surrounded by the greenery of Certosa Island, close to the centre of Venice and overlooking of the northern lagoon, it’s classified as a “Marina Resort” and offers mooring and complementary port services to all vessels, from dinghyes to superyachts. Thanks to the recent upgrade works, mainly aimed at limiting environmental impact and providing services to guests, the marina has been awarded for the third time with the FEE Blue Flag for yacht harbours and has recently obtained the MaRina Excellence certification for the quality of its infrastructure and port and accommodation services.
The Venezia Certosa Marina is the driver of the Certosa’s urban regeneration program, recently recovered from abandonment and integrated to the city. The former military plant has been transformed into a yachting destination, close to the open sea and beaches and connected by public transport services. Certosa island is a starting point for excursions into the lagoon, an entertainment place for residents and visitors, a venue for sports and cultural events, and a destination for sustainable tourism.
